Job description

Reporting to the production supervisor, the team leader will be primarily responsible for managing the production floor and coordinating work with the production team during their shift.

More specifically, the team leader will be responsible for:

  • Ensure that daily production targets are met during their shift (team of approximately 20 employees);
  • Optimize the use of material and human resources and ensure that shipping deadlines are met according to the “just-in-time” principle;
  • Plan, allocate, and balance the workforce across different positions based on production needs and workload;
  • Regularly monitor the progress of operations and adjust priorities as needed;
  • Continuously ensure that work methods and procedures comply with current quality standards;
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, manage workplace incidents and accidents during your shift, and actively collaborate on prevention initiatives with the OHS manager;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Skills sought

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Experience operating a forklift (a valid license is considered an asset) or on-the-job training provided;
  • Experience with continuous improvement (an asset).

Training required

  • Valid driver’s license required;
  • Class 1 license (preferred).
